This Confederate Rose (hibiscus mutabilis) blooms as a white flower in the morning and then turns pink by afternoon and gradually becomes red by evening. The bush in my yard currently has 15 or 20 large 6 inch blooms. Beautiful!

Three months from now, we might have some lemons on our two small trees.
This is the first bloom on a large bush in my front yard. It’s a Rhododendron Austrinum (also known as a Florida Azalea). The plant will eventually have over 50 blooms like this and is quite an eyefull.

After the flower blooms drop off the canna plant, these are the unusual pods that remain.
The hoverfly, while looking like a bee or wasp, is a harmless, beneficial insect in most gardens. A true fly, the camouflage helps protect it from birds and other predators.
